Head of business unit “Environmental Resources and Technologies”
Work description :
- Business and scientific management of the business unit
- Development of the research and market strategy for the business unit with research focuses on water management & purification and soil remediation
- Positioning the business unit within the international, highly dynamic field of environmental and water technologies
- Acquisition of industry projects, as well as national and international research projects
- Transferring research results to technological and developmental processes, and also developing suitable models for commercial exploitation
- Networking within the relevant industrial, research and funding environment, as well as the public sector
- Management and coordination of the 28 staff working in the business unit
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical/natural science discipline
- Several years’ management experience, as well as relevant corporate contacts in the industrial sector of environmental and water technology
- Knowledge of research and technology development processes, as well as models for commercial exploitation
- Experience in acquiring and conducting national and international research projects
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment
- Ideally, knowledge of the university research landscape in the field of environmental and water technologies
- Ability to lead the team in a target-oriented way and to motivate its members through competence and readiness to act
- Enthusiasm for unconventional solutions, creativity and visionary power
Salary: at least EUR 51.499,00 gross per year according to the Research CA. The definite classification occurs corresponding to qualifications and previous experiences.
