Development engineer / project
manager Design with specialization
in plastics technology (m/f)
Location: Karlsruhe
YOUR TASK: As part of an experienced team you will develop and standardize products, from the idea through the production stage; you will be responsible for the production-optimized design of plastic components and assemblies for our process valves, including the corresponding drives and bodies. You will select the optimal materials, taking into account cost and functional aspects and especially the product properties relevant for certification. Your responsibilities will also include cross-project plastics technology support in the development, production and procurement processes, as well as the definition and assessment of tests in cooperation with the plastics
technology lab and the test lab. Your activities will also focus on the analysis and assessment of new trends and technologies in plastics technology, the maintenance of materials databases and the implementation and assessment of moldflow simulation calculations.
YOUR PROFILE: You have successfully completed a course of study in engineering with specialization in plastics technology or an equivalent apprenticeship and ideally already have several years of professional experience.
In addition to well-founded skills in the design development of plastic components you also have well-founded knowledge of the entire injection moulding manufacturing process. Ideally you also have well-founded experience with the CAD system SolidWorks and the simulation tool Autodesk Moldflow.
