The candidate should enforce and complement the research of the existing group in geometry. Interactions with the other research groups at the Mathematics Research Unit (RMATH) are encouraged.
He/She will be involved in teaching on the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels in the RMATH and in the services offered by the RMATH.
Profile
The candidate must hold a PhD in Mathematics or a related field and must have a post-doctoral experience of at least five years. Experience in PhD supervision will be an asset.
The successful candidate should hold a strong research record in a modern field of research in geometry. Examples of research directions are moduli spaces in algebraic and analytic geometry, noncommutative geometry, Poisson geometry, geometric aspects of quantization, higher structures in geometry, and infinite dimensional geometry. But other directions are not excluded.

The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual context. It is desired that the successful candidate will have a working knowledge in at least two of the following languages: English, French, and German. However, it is also possible to obtain proficiency in a second language after being hired as the University provides access to language classes. A basic knowledge of French has to be acquired during the first two years.
