Effective September 2012 the EBS Business School is seeking a senior faculty member as a professor of the
Endowed Chair of Economics of Financial Institutions (female/male)
The applicant should demonstrate:
- The ability to undertake quality research as evidenced by an excellent record of international publications.
- Excellence in teaching at all levels, i.e. bachelor, master, and PhD programmes
- A broad international network and a proven track record in attracting external research funding are highly desirable as well as the readiness to work at the interface between theory and practice together with DZ Bank as the main sponsor.
- Leadership for an academic team, including the development of skills and supervision of doctoral candidates and junior faculty.
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Finance or Economics.

The applicant is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the Department of Finance, Accounting & Real Estate.
