Tampere University of Technology (TUT) conducts scientific research in technology and architecture and provides higher education within these fields. TUT started operating in the form of a foundation in the beginning of 2010.

In terms of student numbers, the largest fields of study at TUT are information technology and electrical, mechanical, automation and civil engineering.
